The first course is a three day introductory short course titled "Intro to PostgreSQL Development". This offering will teach students the fundamentals of databases using PostgreSQL, geospatial database management using the PostGIS extensions to PostgreSQL, and basic data processing techniques using the PL/R extension which allows stored procedures to be written using R, a popular statistical computing language.
